Al Assad was established in 2005 in Iraq as a Group of companies involved in several areas of business encompassing distribution, marketing, and logistics.

The management of the group, however, holds the philosophy of focusing all efforts to be leaders in every endeavor the group participates in, through constant investments in existing businesses, attention to customers’ needs and expanding market share.

Being an Iraqi company that is working directly through its own resources in Iraq rather than through local intermediaries as many companies which are non-Iraqi companies do, Al Assad has the local knowledge and capability in the Iraqi market. It has invested heavily in its human resources as well as its physical distribution infrastructure.
